Community Hubs · Free to lead

Cooperation is how nonprofits win.

Lead a community hub — free — and bring the nonprofits in your circle of influence together in one place.

01

Free for hub leaders

Leading a hub costs nothing. If you're a church, coalition, or funder, you can gather every nonprofit in your circle of influence into one place — no fee, no catch. We want the people who rally a community to have the tool to do it.

02

Your partner nonprofits, on one page

Stop juggling spreadsheets and email threads. See the nonprofits you support — and their volunteer opportunities and wish lists — together on one branded page you can share with your whole community. One link, your whole hub, kept current by the partners themselves.

03

Built on cooperation

Mission Hand exists because nonprofits accomplish more together than alone. Hubs are that belief in action — the same cooperation that powers our referral network and shared needs lists, now organized around the leaders who bring a community together. It's a huge part of why Mission Hand works.

04

A community of Mission Hand organizations

Every partner in your hub has their own Mission Hand account — that's what lets their opportunities and needs stay current on your board without anyone re-typing them. Partners already on Mission Hand accept your invitation in a couple of clicks and choose what to share. Partners who aren't can set up their own account through your hub's invite link. You coordinate and publish; you never touch their private data.

Frequently asked questions

Is leading a hub really free?

Yes. There's no fee to lead a community hub. It's our way of supporting the churches, coalitions, and funders who bring nonprofits together.

Who is a hub for?

Anyone who supports a group of nonprofits — a sponsoring church, a coalition, a funder, a United Way, or a community foundation.

What can a hub leader see?

Only what each partner chooses to publish — their volunteer opportunities and their needs. Never their clients, donors, or internal data. Privacy is built in.

Do my partners need their own Mission Hand account?

Yes — a hub is a community of organizations who all run on Mission Hand. That's what keeps every partner's opportunities and needs current on your board without anyone re-typing them, and what lets their impact roll up into yours. Leading your hub is free; each partner subscribes to Mission Hand themselves.

What if I just want a list of organizations I refer people to?

Then a hub isn't the tool — and you don't need one. Every Mission Hand account includes a local referral directory under Resources, where you keep the outside organizations you send people to. Those organizations don't need a Mission Hand account at all. A hub is different: it's a living community of Mission Hand nonprofits who publish and coordinate together.

How do my partner nonprofits join?

If they're on Mission Hand, you invite them and they accept — choosing what to share. (They'll need to have switched on "Let community hubs find you" in their settings first, so it's worth a heads-up.) If a partner isn't on Mission Hand yet, you can send them your hub's invite link and they'll set up their own account.

How do I get a hub?

Hubs are set up by the Mission Hand team so we can get you started right. Reach out and we'll have your hub ready.
